10 Annual Action Report OR Movement 2020 / 5781 A visit by the Minister of Community and his team to the Equitable Cities in the Negev, Karmit and the Information Center New residents in Dimona THE YEAR IN WHICH WE TRIPLED THE DEMAND FOR RELOCATION The wave of requests to relocate to the Negev and the Galilee over the past year led us to promote national campaigns for relocations to the Negev and Galilee from the country’s center, and, for the first time, from overseas as well. This intensive work led us to expand and develop our ability in all areas connected to upgrading the relocation experience, technological platforms, data collection and identification of the individual needs of thousands of types of requests which reached us. The Negev and Galilee Knowledge and Information Center was established in 2002, and today is the leading body for the promotion of communities in the Negev and Galilee. The Center’s purpose is to create a connection between potential new residents and opportunities in the Negev and Galilee. Opportunities can be found in housing, employment or initiatives including: education, health, community services, infrastructures, benefits and more. The service is individually adapted for families, businesses and individuals starting from the stage of mapping the needs and wishes of each applicant, identification of alternatives for relocation, assistance in locating housing and employment , and through to absorption in the new location .
