12 Annual Action Report OR Movement 2020 / 5781 Meeting of impact groups leaders - Ofakim “A meeting of the “Day After Coalition” – Rahat Volunteer food distribution in the community – organized and carried out by the “Lev Echad organization with whom OR Movement are joint Chairs >>> LOCAL LEADERSHIP IN CITIES OF THE NEGEV AND VITAL NEIGH THE YEAR IN WHICH EXEMPLARY COMMUNITIES FORMED IN THE NEGEV & THE GALILEE The “Neighbourhood as Community” model developed by OR Movement and implemented as part of the working concept in communities established by the movement and in those where they have operated over the years, gained momentum in the past year. This is a result of implementing the model in the “Equitable Cities” and the Covid-19 crisis. The action to establish Neighbourhoods as communities was intended to generate value for the target Neighbourhoods in Negev and Galilee cities through building attractive, vibrant communities , led by local leadership , creating value for the residents of the Neighbourhood , keeping young people in the city, and attracting new populations. With the outbreak of Covid-19, the need to build community resilience , based on local leadership, significantly increased and led to a strategic partnership between Ein Prat, OR Movement and Lev Echad – Civilian Aid in Emergency and the Rothschild partnerships . Together we initiated joint operations to implement the model in the Negev and Galilee, spread out as broadly as possible throughout the towns across the country. In addition, we joined strategic forces with the Day After Coalition, led by the Menomadin Fund , consolidating an in-depth process in the target Neighbourhoods to achieve growth from within the Covid-19 challenge.
