5 TION OF THE NEW CENTRES VISION IN THE NEGEV AND THE GALILEE >>> LEADING TOGETHER MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS 3 ECONOMIC CLUSTERS Consolidated along with government ministries, city leadership and regional partners, to create action plans in the Eastern and Western Negev and in the Western Galilee to promote thousands of positions in the coming years 5 COOPERATIVE PARTNERSHIPS To promote government decisions regarding 2 growth engines in the AgroTech field in the Western Negev as well as advanced industry in the Eastern Negev, in addition to promoting tourism and theatre in Eilat, Pitchat Nitzana and the development of Ramat HaNegev at an estimated scope of 300 million NIS 16 GOVERNMENT MINISTRIES The ministries were recruited for the promotion of core initiatives for the new centers born of the “Israel 2048 – A Shared Future” vision and to a commitment to undertake dozens of projects. Ministries included the Prime ministers office Finance, Education, Social Equality, Construction and Housing, Settlement, Economy, Immigration and Absorption, Tourism, Agriculture, and the Interior 4 EQUITABLE CITIES An initiative which emerged from the “The Centennial Group” forum within whose framework we operated over the past year in conjunction with the Ministry of Housing and Construction and the Ministry of Social Equality, the Ministry of Education and the Community Ministry for activities in 4 pilot cities: Dimona, Ofakim, Acco, Kiryat Shmona 1 NATIONAL GROWTH ENGINE Promoting the decision to construct the Nevatim airport in the Negev , headed by Mr. Beni Biton of the Negev Local Authority, the Negev council and leading partners “As a person who dedicates his whole life to serving the State and its citizens, I can confidently say that it is our obligation to develop and promote the Negev and the Galilee as national growth engines, as only they will guarantee the success and the future of the State of Israel.
