8 Annual Action Report OR Movement 2020 / 5781 The impact group arrives onsite: Acco-system A meeting of the impact group leaders A meeting for the promotion of government commitment to the creation of an advanced industrial cluster in Dimona and the Eastern Negev, in cooperation with the Eastern Negev Cluster >>> DEMOGRAPHIC-ECONOMIC-QUALITATI FROM DEVELOPMENT TOW THE YEAR IN WHICH THE EQUITABLE CITY MODEL BEGAN TO BE REALIZED Over the course of the past year the practical operations of the Equitable Cities initiative began in pilot cities which were designated for the purpose of the joint project with the Ministry of Housing and Construction, the Ministry for Social Equality, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Settlement. The project is carried out in cooperation with and under the leadership of the participating cities in the Negev and the Galilee; together a range of activities dedicated to demographic, economic and community growth are being undertaken. Within the framework of the initiative, we were active in 4 cities – Dimona and Ofakim in the Negev and Kiryat Shmona and Acco in the Galilee. The initiative was intended to create relocation momentum for companies and settlers in significant numbers to the target cities alongside the community development and strengthening of local leadership. Activity in the cities took place with the assistance of hundreds of partners who joined together to lead the development of infrastructures and foundations while simultaneously leading the efforts to create investment and company and settler relocation in order to promote significant, subsequent growth in the city.
