OR MOVEMENT- ANNUAL SUMMARY REPORT 2019

FACTS ON THE GROUND THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING We reached our goal of 392 families living in the Carmit community, which we established. 92 of these families arrived in 2019 alone. All this occurred within less than 4 years of beginning to populate the community! In addition, we have assisted hundreds more residents - all dreamers and pioneers - in building new homes in the Negev and Galilee and in fulfilling themselves there. These are the communities we have been active in : Retamim, Eliav, Har Amasa, Sansana, Shizaf, Be’er Milka, Eilot, Be’er Ora, Elifaz, Samer, Yotvata, Ketura, Lotan, Yahel, Neot Semadar, Neve Harif, Kisufim, Ein HaShlosha, Mitzpe Ramon, Akko, Kiryat Shmona, Hatzor Haglilit, Shlomi and Mitzpe Ilan. 17 THE “EQUITABLE CITY” INITIATIVE In participation with the Ministry of Housing and the Ministry for Social Equality, we have introduced and commenced the “Equitable Cities” initiative in Dimona, Ofakim, Akko and Kiryat Shmona. Along with the mayors, municipal functionaries and the residents, the initiative dictates a new vision for the city, from which working projects are developed in areas including financial growth, housing, and urban and community planning. The initiative’s goals are the recruitment of a number of groundbreaking Impact Groups along with inspiring commercial entrepreneurs, who believe in the vision and wish to implement it in every city; pioneers who will bring the changes and initiate growth through the creation of hundreds of new jobs and the influx of thousands of new residents to the “Equitable Cities” in years to come. The OR Movement was established from the ground up and that is exactly where it continues to aim its efforts. The vision is a framework which allows all the actions to come to fruition. Our true test is in the number of residents whom we help to move to the Negev and Galilee to build their new, independent, empowered lives.
